Figuring Out How to Navigate the Industry for a Young Performer Just Got a Lot Easier!

Cutter’s mission is to help other’s build enough confidence to tackle the industry by providing knowledge from real world experience and years of intensive training. Cutter wants every student to have individual attention that focuses on their personal strengths and needs, while offering the space for creative freedom.

How It Works

 

WEEK 1: Improv/As Needed Lessons

Focusing on the structure of improv while allowing creativity to fly. Helps students develop ability of “Thinking on Your Feet.” Generally used in film and commercial auditions. Partnered with improv, we may work on lessons that the class needs to work on.

 

WEEK 2: Audition/Scene Study                                                                                

Going through the process of receiving a script and sides to developing a character to putting words to action within a scene with peers. The first part will be auditioning and developing the character. Then, we will begin blocking and running the scene with stop-starts. Scenes will be from currently casting shows. If you would like provide your own material, you can.

 

WEEK 3: Q&A & Showcase w/ Industry Professionals

This is a time for students and parents to ASK ANY QUESTION they want. From headshots to submissions to casting to being on set. This is designed to help families navigate the industry with specific answers to specific questions. Then we have all of the students do a showcase by performing a prepared scene for the guest.
